Pete,
I hear you loud and clear. As long as martial arts isn't the be-all and end-all and can be used as a vehicle to bring Jesus into their lives and help them be "renewed by the changing of your(their) minds" Rom. 12:2

Wow, I'll have to go join right away so I can hit people in the name of Jesus.
Oh, wait, aren't there already preachers doing that? Wait! I wanna name it! Here it is.... wait for it.... IMPACT Ministries!! We put the Kare in Karate! "Here", he said. "Let me make an impression for Jesus" and he broke his nose. "Let's see if the spirit moves you" as he delivered an upper cut to the jaw and his opponent went down to the floor unconscience...Said the ref, "Nice way to really convert someone to Jesus".....

Come to think of it, this probably represents Jesus better than many of the things we do in church...

I must have missed the part in the bible where the disciples decided to open up a dojo?
What next?
Yoga for Christianity?
Come to think of it, I am sure that is an option these days...

Come to think of it, I am sure that is an option these days... Might be bad karma. "I'm sorry, sir, but my karma ran over your dogma." In these days of "relativism and inclusiveness", maybe you could start with a bout of Kung Fu. Move on to a "yoga" session. Transfer then to an "out of the body experience" mat. Then have a quick shuffle across some burning coals. Followed by a quick lay down on a bed of nails. Which would then lead to the "sticking of pins in a wooly doll table". Before a quick prayer to the god of all faiths that requires no distinction. And a quick drum roll on the obligatory drum kit as you leave the SDA church? Mark...
