Club Adventist

Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Pete,

I hear you loud and clear. As long as martial arts isn't the be-all and end-all and can be used as a vehicle to bring Jesus into their lives and help them be "renewed by the changing of your(their) minds" Rom. 12:2

"Here", he said. "Let me make an impression for Jesus" and he broke his nose. "Let's see if the spirit moves you" as he delivered an upper cut to the jaw and his opponent went down to the floor unconscience...Said the ref, "Nice way to really convert someone to Jesus".....

Come to think of it, this probably represents Jesus better than many of the things we do in church...

I must have missed the part in the bible where the disciples decided to open up a dojo?

What next?

Yoga for Christianity?

Come to think of it, I am sure that is an option these days...

Might be bad karma.

In these days of "relativism and inclusiveness", maybe you could start with a bout of Kung Fu.

Move on to a "yoga" session.

Transfer then to an "out of the body experience" mat.

Then have a quick shuffle across some burning coals.

Followed by a quick lay down on a bed of nails.

Which would then lead to the "sticking of pins in a wooly doll table".

Before a quick prayer to the god of all faiths that requires no distinction.

And a quick drum roll on the obligatory drum kit as you leave the SDA church?

Mark...
