Club Adventist

Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

We need 2 new forum topics, specifically Linux and Solaris. Because who knows, someone might use any of these 2. Just a suggestion.

We had that for a while, and then closed it...We started out with 7 forums, and now have something like 150 forums..

They are different OSs, like windows for PCs and Mac V10.5 for Mac's.

I've just got back into Linux after a bit of a break. Don't know whether there'd be enough demand for a whole forum, but we could definitely PM back and forth and/or discuss it in Town Hall, Cosmin (and anyone else who's keen).

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope). It's come a looong way since I was last using Linux 4 years ago or so, but things still break and require me to spend time typing commands in Terminal. Doesn't bother me, but I suspect it's a dealbreaker for most normal people. bwink

I have not used Linux or Solaris, Bravus, so not very sure about them. Haven't really heard any good or bad things about either one. Had heard that when Steve Jobs was asked to come back and save Apple, he had been working with some other OS, that he had bought out. I think that he based the apple OS on this OS.
