I believe the resurrection was on the first sabbath after Passover, and that the "first day of the week" passages really say "first of the Sabbaths" (cf. Lev. 23:15) Matthew 28:1 opse de sabbatwv = Later of the Sabbaths John 20:1 mia twv sabbatwv = first of the Sabbaths. What say ye? Here is a chart to illustrate:

Not what I say but what does the Bible say? As to when He died:
"This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and laid him in a tomb cut in stone, where no one had ever yet been laid. It was the day of Preparation, and the Sabbath was beginning." Lk 23:53,54.
As to when He arose:
"Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb." Jn 20:1 ESV
"Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it." Mt 28:1,2 ESV.

Got the day of crucifixion right but missed the day he arose.

mia twv sabbatwv= first day of the week
See Didache, paragraph #8. (Dated between 50 and 150 A.D.)
This source helps to prove beyond any doubt that deutera sabbatwn= Monday, the second day of the week.
J.B. Lightfoot's translation: 8:1 And let not your fastings be with the hypocrites, for they fast on the second and the fifth day of the week; 8:2 but do ye keep your fast on the fourth and on the preparation (the sixth) day.
Kirsopp Lake's Translation:1 Let not your fasts be with the hypocrites, for they fast on Mondays and Thursdays, but do you fast on Wednesdays and Fridays.
They fast - second sabbath and nhsteusousi gar deutera sabbatwn kai fifth; you (rather) fast (ye) [on the] fourth and preparation [day before sabbath]. pempth, umeiv de nhsteusate tetrada kai paraskeuhn.
It will be seen that "second sabbath" [deutera sabbatwn] means the second day of the week, or Monday. The fifth day of the week is Thursday. The fourth day of the week is of course Wednesday, and "preparation" is Friday, the preparation day, since that is the day on which we prepare for the Sabbath of the Lord our God.
One reason virtually all translations read "first day of the week" is that this is the correct reading.
Out of 67 translations, only 3 read "sabbaths" in place of "week" at John 20: 1, and two of those were translated by Jay P. Green. His King James II translation reads, "first day of the week" at Matt. 28: 1 and Acts 20: 7, yet the same words at John 10: 1 have been translated as "the first of the sabbaths." This alone shows that Green is unreliable when it comes to translating this phrase.

Excuse me for not reading the entire thread. But I believe that Christ could have risen on Saturday. Granted .... it was AFTER Sabbath and towards the first day of the week. But if we consider midnight as the drawing line ... we just don't know which day He rose from the grave. I don't believe the Bible tell us?
Am I wrong? I believe the evidence is that Jesus was raised early on the morning of the first day. At least we know it was before the sun rose on the first day of the week. Here is Ellen White's comment in Desire of Ages-- The night of the first day of the week had worn slowly away. The darkest hour, just before daybreak, had come. Christ was still a prisoner in His narrow tomb. The great stone was in its place; the Roman seal was unbroken; the Roman guards were keeping their watch. And there were unseen watchers. Hosts of evil angels were gathered about the place. Had it been possible, the prince of darkness with his apostate army would have kept forever sealed the tomb that held the Son of God. But a heavenly host surrounded the sepulcher. Angels that excel in strength were guarding the tomb, and waiting to welcome the Prince of life. "And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven." Clothed with the panoply of God, this angel left the heavenly courts. The bright beams of God's glory went before him, and illuminated his pathway. "His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men." DA 779

When the light of the sun disappeared from view the Sabbath AFTER the crucifixion, that was the beginning of Sunday, according to Biblical reckoning. If Jesus was resurrected on Sabbath, it would have taken place BEFORE the sun went down on Sabbath. It clearly says he arose on the first day of the week and was crucified on Friday, the preparation day.
